There was one item on the previous Segment I didn’t get to. So, what about Wealthy Affiliate Support? In this Overview of the Wealthy Affiliate Platform, I will cover all of the facets of the support systems found therein. There are very few other online business platforms that can boast of anything more than a help desk. Wealthy Affiliate has gone way beyond that.
Asking Kyle and Carson for Help
There are very few places wherein you become a member, especially one the size of Wealthy Affiliate, where you can actually call upon the owners for help and support. I have put this point first because it is just one more outstanding benefits of being a member at Wealthy Affiliate!
From the time these two, as struggling college students in their home town of Vancouver, BC, Canada figured out how to do affiliate marketing, having elimiated all of the misinformation and contradictory teachings about it, they set right out to show others how to do it.
This “do as I do” approach with Kyle & Carson has always worked well, not only because they know Internet marketing, but because they do it with the pay-it-forward mentality – something that is taught at Wealthy Affiliate as well.
Kyle & Carson receive hundreds of Personal Messages every day from members needing help. How they deal with this I don’t know, but they still do it. When they see a blog post, question or any other venue, including the Live Chat, in which they feel the need to help, they do it. A recent WA blog post I wrote, “Do You Love Wealthy Affiliate?” Kyle showed up in the comments area with words of praise and the re-iteration that they are here for the members and do everything they can for us.
If you need help, all you need to do is ask. Going on Private Messaging for either of these two will bring up a gate. On this page you will be asked if you think your question will be benefited by taking it to the membership and if not, you can proceed.
This isn’t to be found virtually anywhere else!
Asking Questions within the Community
There is a special writing platform designed for asking questions to the community. On this platform you will be asked which Classroom best fits your question. This helps keep things in order and logically-organized in Wealthy Affiliate’s massive library.
How to Ask Questions in the Community
There are three ways get to the writing platform you need to write your question. All three ways will get you to the right place.
- The Built-In Search Bar
- In the Questions Area within Your My Wealthy Affiliate Space
- Within the Classrooms
In the built-in search bar that appears on every page, you can type the question here. You will be presented with suggestions consisting of tutorials, courses, video tutorials and webinars. If you can’t find the solution in these, you can go to the bottom and repeat your question in the form provided. A dialog just under where you type your question tells you not to forget the question mark. Be sure to provide that. You are also provided an editor to explain your question in more detail. You will also be asked which Classroom you ‘d like the question to go to. You must choose a classroom. Once you do this, click on the “Ask Your Question” button on the bottom right of the box. You’re done!
When in your My Wealthy Affiliate Space, in the Questions area, click on the space provided. This opens a similar box as above. Do as above. You’re done!
In any of the Classrooms, you can ask a question using the space provided. As in your My Wealthy Affiliate Space, the required form drops down when you click on it. The only difference here is that you don’t have to choose a Classroom because you’re already in one! Do as above and you’re done!
How to Access Any Questions You’ve Asked, Even Your Earliest Ones!
There are ways you can access all of your questions
- In your My Wealthy Affiliate Space (under Questions)
- In the Classrooms.
Let’s discuss these two ways…
In Your My Wealthy Affiliate Space, under Questions, just scroll down until you reach your earliest question. Choose the one you would like to open.
In any one of the Classrooms you have the buttons, Question & Answers, Tutorials, Video and Courses. By default a Classroom opens to the Question & Answers area. You have three options here:
Choose Personal. This will bring up all questions you’ve asked or other members’ you’ve answered. Choose any of the ones that have your avatar beside the question. These are your questions and all the ones you’ve asked in that particular classroom comes up from the newest on top to the oldest on the bottom.
How to Find Other Members’ Questions You’ve Answered Or Discussed
Access your questions within any Classroom as above. Choose any avatars that are not yours. These are questions you’ve answered or have participated in the discussions therein.
Using Private Messaging [PM] to Ask Questions
Go to the desired member whom you would like to ask the question. You will need to click on that member’s avatar to get to their My Wealthy Affiliate Space. If the member’s avatar isn’t present where you can find it at the moment, you can search the member’s username in the Platform’s Search Bar. You must know the username or enough of it to get results. Once obtained, click on the name or avatar.
Once on the member’s Space, to the immediate left of the large avatar of that member is the button allowing you to send a PM to that member. Click on that.
You will be taken to your PM manager where you will be provided with the required form you need. Enter a title/subject and write the question into the editor and hit the Send Private Message button below.
Using the Live Chat to Get Questions Answered
This is very simple. If you can use the Live Chat functions, you can ask a question in it.
Choose which version of the Live Chat you want to use, either the one on the Home Page in the right sidebar or the stand-alone application found in the Main Menu. It is the link up one from the bottom.
In the Add a New Message Here space provide at the top of the board, type your question. If using the Home Page Sidebar version, you must hit Enter on your keyboard to send it to the board. If in the stand-along application, hit the Enter button provided, or Enter on your keyboard.
If you need to ask a specific member a question, on the board at the time, you have two options to do this in that members’ post. Note that you have Reply and Actions beneath every message on the board. Choose Reply in one of that member’s messages and his username, preceded by a @ symbol will appear in the message blank at the top. Type your question and it will show up on the board with that member’s name. The member will respond to your question.
The Actions link is a dropdown menu. You will get two options, Send Private Message and Report Spam. Click this link in the one of the desired member’s message and choose Send Private Message if you would like to ask that member the question privately.
Consulting WA’s Vast Resources through Search
The Wealthy Affiliate Resources have an snswer or solution to just about any problem you need support for. Usint the Built-In Search Finction will help you get to any resource you need. It doesn’t always work, but it’s worth a shot. You just might find what you need in the results it give you. If you don’t get what you are looking for, try changing your search terms until you do or try any of the other methods above.
My Final Thoughts
Well, I tried to get this Segment down to half the size of the previous one. It’s not quite, but it’s a little above half the size! Oh well, I will make it up to you LOL!
Before proceeding, there is one thing I failed to mention above. It’s very simple so I will put it here. If you have any techical issues with your website, you can contact SiteSupport. This is found in the Help Center or under Websites in the Main Menu.
