When you go to listen to any of Mike Litman’s audio presentations, be ready to turn down the sound a bit. He is quite loud and has a shrill voice. If you are not careful, you will get startled. I warned you!
Albeit, as annoying as that can be, I have always been very fond of Mike’s presentations. They are sincere, emotional and very heart-warming. I’ve had personal conversations with him in times past.
The man has a very good heart and I believe genuinely cares for his audiences. He is a life coach. He also broadcasts on the radio and began from the most humiliating of situations in this industry. The video below will give you more info on his beginnings in radio. I’ve gotten much value from him and his free programs. He has some ups and downs, and he is the first to admit it, which I find admirable of the man.
Here are some pros and cons.
Pros
- Very kind man. Has a good heart.
- Genuinely cares for his followers.
- Goes the extra mile.
- Has great, heartfelt presentations.
- Is not afraid to admit fault.
- Will do his best to make errors/wrongs right.
- Exceptionally well-written books and very engaging talks.
- LOTS of praises.
Cons
- Does have, what appears to be, numerous errors.
- Many “unauthorized” CC charges. (not all his fault)
- Very hard to get a hold of.
- Poor initial customer service (but then makes right)
- High-priced products reported to be inferior.
- LOTS of complaints, some of which are unfounded.
When it comes to motivational sessions and coaching, Mike Litman is your man. He has moved me in my heart and I believe this is true with many. Watch your Ps and Qs though, and the best way to do this is to carefully read his materials before purchasing. If you don’t, you might get one of those “unauthorized bank charges.” I recommend you stick with the free motivational materials and media that is readily available, rather than the high-priced programs as there are reports of disappointing, if not downright very undesired results. Notes on Free Materials/Offers
I personally do not believe Mike Litman to be anyone to shaft his customers. I also believe that what he does is with great intent. Therefore, the information is in there but you must take the time and read it. Else you will get stung, and because all the necessary information IS included, this will be your responsibility. Please read any associated documentation, including sales pages all the way through and be sure you understand their implications before purchasing or ordering anything, even if the product is free. It MAY come with strings attached, so the only way you will know is to read.
Offering something free with intent for you to try it may come with an automatic billing cycle at the end of the evaluation period, and this is usually stated in the sales page. Many unfounded complaints have been lodged publicly online due to folks not reading the documentation. Please do so and save yourself a headache down the road. There is nothing conniving about such sales models so long as the author does inform about it in writing. This model is NOT uncommon.
He has been known to commit errors, whether through omission or something not quite put together right, but in these instances, when approached, has made right with those having been affected.
I have not had any experience with his paid programs but I have with his free ones. The free ones were, in my opinion, very well done!
Programs:
Appears to be currently defunct
Unfortunately, there seems to have been many complaints about a coaching program he offered. There are a number of folks having paid $3,500 for a coaching program which included a live coach. A number of complaints include:
- Losing information
- Coaching sessions suddenly stopping
- Poor response
- Suddenly changing coaches
- Replacement coaches suddenly disappearing
Many of these complaints are public and shows Mr. Litman appearing in these boards to make things right or, if needed, let a complainer know that he/she has not read the the materials.
Mike Litman Radio Show
I heard one of these 27-minute long broadcasts. What I heard was great! Albeit, the program no longer exists.
Books
Being a lover of books, especially the older motivational classics, Mike Litman co-authored several of his own books. In spite of the failures above, these are all great reading, have great reviews, and I personally recommend them. The Conversations with Millionaires book can be had without cost as a download on MikeLitman.com, or you can purchase a new physical copy from Amazon, as is true with the other books he’s co-authored. It is not known how long the Mike Litman website will remain live. Below are two of his best works, and the third is a recommended book which will give you insight into what certain successful individuals had to go through to make the grade…
