Commission Breakthrough (A Brutally-Honest Review)

Commission Breakthrough, Product Overview

commission-breakthroughWarning: Do NOT click the image until you’ve read this review!

Features downloadable software that the user sets up to determine which niches found in Wikipedia are highly profitable. The software predicts approximately how much revenue can be had from any niche found there and about how long affiliate links the user places on these pages will stay up. Let’s break this down…

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

  • PRO #1 Offers software that does all the research legwork for you.
  • PRO #2 Is purported to work very well finding the initial research.
  • PRO #3 It is a low-cost one-time cost of $34.
  • PRO #4 You can click away from the sales page and it will discount the cost to $24!

The Bad:

  • CON #1 Receives a bad rap in a number of complaint boards, Warrior Forum and the IMReportCard (D- by two users)
  • CON #2 Reported to be extremely hard to keep links on Wiki pages for very long.
  • Con #3 Some users of Wikipedia have been banned for using these tactics.
  • Con #4 Computer crashes using this software has been reported by some users
  • Con #5 Users report software breakdowns, indicating that there are coding errors in it.

Who is Commission Breakthrough For?

The opening “Webinar” targets folks who are struggling with jobs they disdain and for a “few select” opportunity-seekers who are tired of article-writing, social media marketing, ezine marketing, etc. The pervading theme of the webinar is that the owners/authors of this software are threatened by other millionaires that if they were to voice concerns about scams nor turn a blind eye from them, they will be shut down.

This program is said to be very new (I’ve seen it around for over two years now) and it’s for a very tiny membership kept this way to “stay under the radar.”

Anybody who wishes to keep their work online, making money down to a “push-button” level could possibly benefit from this software.

Commission Breakthrough Tools & Training

Since very little is required in the way of training, except how to use the software, the training is fairly limited to that. This is a basic overview of all the training:

(1) Set up your custom website

Snapshot 5659Video on how to set up the website: This comes with two options. In option #1, you let Bruce K take care of all the legwork. He sets up the website for you and sets you up with a hosting company called “BrainHost.” This is purported to be less than $10/month and comes with $250 worth of free advertising credits.

In option #2, designed to make #1 more attractive, you will not get a .com website as you would in the first option. You will need to build and upload the site manually. Note that your site “will be a subdomain of another site!” The site will take longer to load and there will be no free advertising credits.

This being said, the prospect is strongly encouraged to take the first option making this a “smart investment.” Please note the screen shot of the options above, this section. This is a capture of the upper portion of the tables showing the benefits of each option.

(2) Niche Selection Secrets

Under this section, you must select your niches. The software does NOT do this for you. So you do have some legwork to do. What you do is plug your information into the software and it returns its forecasts to you on how viable or not this selection would be.

For the keyword research, you must download the Niche-Finder. I am not sure if this is an added cost.

The software returns how many people are reading the sources, and then provides traffic data, scores. You are given a button from which you can select the time frame. It is a no-brainer that the traffic source is going to be Wikepedia. Here you edit the selected Wiki page and enter your affiliate link, which soon gets deleted.

(3) Pick Your Income Source

Here you are given two parts, one to show you how to sign up to Clickbank, and the other, which products NOT to promote. It provides a few easy steps on how to do this.

(4) Fill Out Your Feeder Site

Watch a provided video on how to fill your site with quality content. Here you are encouraged to give your prospects information through which they can learn about the product you are promoting.

(5) Plug In Your Traffic

The final phase of the process of building out the website and takes the user through a series of steps and proven methods on how to bring traffic to the site. This is the make-or-break part of the process and the easiest to fail at. to counteract these issues, Commission Breakthrough provides a question-and-answer panel for those who get stuck in the process.

(6) Option: Commission Breakthrough SuperSoftware (A Hands-Free Powerhouse!)

This additional software can be had for $197 and is designed to bring those who purchase it to unprecedented traffic and profit levels not enjoyed by those who decide not to purchase it. Here you can manage all of your campaigns easily, saving hours of work doing this manually.

(7) Options: Check Out Other Internet Marketing Resources

This option brings users to even more upsells.

Commission Breakthrough’s 3-Piece Software

Traffic

Snapshot 5661_markedThis is a brief look inside CB’s applications which include, Traffic, Watchers & Revision Stats.

In this screenshot (right) we have the Traffic App. Here the user types in the niche he/she would like to analyze.

In the example here, weight loss was chosen and the user then depresses the magic button for final results.

The software then, searches for the appropriate page in Wikipedia and spits out the data.

The first indicates how many people use this page per daily, weekly or monthly. The button to the left of this first number allows you to select which setting to have it on.

Since it is set on “Daily” and the number is “1551” visitors daily, the next row indicates that this is “Great!”

So we have a winner! Wait! Not so fast…

Watchers

Snapshot 5662_markedThis is where we begin to see the darker side of Commission Breakthrough Program itself. The Watchers App indicates how often folks come onto the Wikipedia page to scrutinize it for foul play or any changes which they feel is not beneficial for the article. It is designed to snoop for this info and return the data to the user.

Watchers are Wikipedia members who specifically have watchers accounts, who are actually notified every time changes occur on the page.. This app detects how many such watchers there are for the current page. The lower this number the better. For the weight loss page, whilst it has 1551 hits, which is great, it also has 125, which this app returns “bad.”

What this means is that having a link on this one is deemed futile. Knowing affiliate links being placed on these pages is frowned upon, the owner of this company had this software made so folks using it can determine which ones have the lowest number of watchers possible. Some people using Commission Breakthrough have been banned from Wikipedia for this abuse.

Revision Stats

Snapshot 5663_markedThis snooping app provides the user anything he/she would like to know about how often the article has been edited in the last month, the last week, by how many users, how long the mean time is from edit to edit, and even the number of edits done by the top ten percent of account holders!

In this case, all the numbers of edits and members doing the editing is said to be too high, making this page a poor choice for dumping links. The software is said by some, to be quite accurate, others reporting errors. It is true a very few individuals have, with a lot of work on their part and persistence in replacing links that have been deleted, to do fairly well with it.

Commission Breakthrough Promotability

I put this extra section in here because I came across this report shown when this product was relaunched last year. The information in here is, in my opinion, full of hype. These are two full-sized screenshots. The company does have an affiliate program, and though I’m not all out to promote the software, I’ve included the link so anyone after having read this review, can purchase if they so desire. The link can be found below and in the top image.

CommissionBreakthrough-600x350
Snapshot 5664

Ironically, the number of “happy affiliates” for this product is zilch. There is a void just under the report in the website where this came from, between it and the subheading introducing Reason #2. From recent research, I have not found many affiliates actively promoting this, though there might very well be.

Commission Breakthrough Support

Each member is send an email to the owner reporting their progress and performance of the software. Whether these emails are actually addressed by the owners or not is not known. This could possibly be the case, which makes it more personal.

Is there a community, forum, personal support, do the owners support it.

Commission Breakthrough Price

What is this product worth? Mr. Kelly puts a grand figure of $699 per month on it. However, Kelly knows that very few can afford this kind of hard cash so he offers it altruistically at $34 per member. This is a one-time cost. There may be hosting charges that come into play here as during the webinar, new members get hosting for 60 days free.

There are upsells involved with this product. All of them are optional. You can choose Option #1 and get hosting for free, however, your campaign(s) will contain advertisements designed to cover the costs of hosting.

By getting the edge on most other members, you can purchase the Commission Breakthrough SuperSoftware program for $197.

My Final Opinion of Commission Breakthrough

Right from the get-go, upon watching the “Webinar,” I could smell a scam! While the video provides great reasons for folks to get online and start online businesses, it is also filled with urgent calls to action, purporting that only a limited number of members can exist in order to remain “under-the-radar,” and being shut down by other wealthy gurus whom Mr Kelley has purportedly been in a meeting with. In this meeting, Mr. Kelly was warned not to disclose the operations involved with this product.

Commission Breakthrough is overwhelmingly riddled with negative reviews and complaints. There are only a very small handful of positive reviews associated with this product.

If you think you can work this product, as a few have, here’s the link. You can also click on the image above.

Please compare this Review with my Review on Wealthy Affiliate and you will see for yourself why WA is the best training platform you will ever find on the Internet at any price.

Commission Breakthrough at a Glance…

Name: Commission Breakthrough

Website: http://commissionbrealthrough2.com
Price: $34 One-Time Cost
Owner: Bruce Kelley
Overall Scam Rank: 80% out of 100 (Estimate)

Verdict:

scam! (2)I say this because the owner is pushing this product knowing that Wikipedia does not welcome unrestrained placement of affiliate links on its pages. The only folks making money with this product, for the most part, is the owner, Bruce Kelly and perhaps his team. Evidently there are a small few who are doing fairly well with it, but it is not known what measures these folks must take to maintain operations.

Thanks for rereading my blog post John. I was not having a very good day when you read it the first time and you certainly had a valid point there. If one person doesn’t get the gist of what an article is saying, chances are others won’t either. Thanks again for giving it another shot. I will leave links for those who may read the posts and still want to try these out. Most any program will work of someone tries at it hard enough, though, I’m not sure about this one. This is why it sounds contradictory.

Very informative review Daniel, I’m always leary of someone trying to sell me something they say is worth $699.00 for $34. I really like the way you used the warning not to click on the image until the end of your review, wise move because you’ve shared some very insightful information about this product, thanks for the heads up.

I know! and the fact that the narrator says he’s gone out on the limb to provide this “value” to folks who badly need it.

Hey, I harp on the employment thing too, but I’m certainly going to make darned sure I provide real value. My reputation is at stake here and I certainly don’t want it ruined by such shenanigans. And, I have strong feelings against working in jobs that do not do anything for my passion. I know how that feels and my objective in life is to free folks from this kind of legitimate but foolish means of income.

That this guy is being altruistic! C’mon. Most people are not born yesterday, though it is the uninformed that do get hit with these things. Reviews like this are badly needed to put these clowns out of business.

Thanks kindly for replying Johnny 🙂

There are many programmes out there that promise to provide an income for a little work and a small fee. Load of twaddle, it takes hard work to succeed online a business plan and a marketable niche. Nice review of a dodgy product, one to be avoided.

I found the video pretty entertaining. I liked the way they moved from clause to clause on there. That was very well done, albeit the fact that if they were to disclose this “top secret” to anyone, or the details of it by shady millionaires is totally ridiculous. Why, the beauty of being an entrepreneur is in being your own boss and NOT puppets like is purported here.

Just to think, the first time I saw this in 2009 (I think it was) I really thought there was some black box stuff here. Being with Wealthy Affiliate for as long as I have now as a happy member long ago, shed light on what real entrepreneurship is!

These guys are a joke! They are enslaved if this is true. The secret alliance of millionaires, or whatever you want to call it, simply doesn’t exist, not at this level anyway.

      Sheesh!

You are most welcome Lorena. I’m starting first with the programs I’ve had experience with and moving on to every program out there I can find. This is to actually see which ones are the best one and which ones are harmful to join.

    hey daniel,

i have become increasingly aware of the ‘shiny object’ since i joined wealthy affiliate and hence avoid it like the plague – any time i see claims like 1400/day i run like my hair was on fire

if ads don’t reveal the fact that online marketing is a business that needs to be learned like any other business, then they probably are a scam – after all, why work hard to make income online when you can have it at the push of a button

btw – after people get burned on all the ‘push button’ scams, they show up at a real site like WA that teaches you the business and tells you upfront what you have to pay and what you’ll get in return

and yes it does take work to earn a sustainable income online

    nice post and i agree

      Hi Steve,

      Thanks for the reply:)

There’s one tell-tale thing I notice in videos like the one the link leads to. Ever notice that once you run the video, there’s no way to control it except pause and go? This, by itself raises a red flag. Why to these folks not allow rewind/fast forward controls?

My best guess is that they want you to view it one time. Most of the time we remember the highlights of something. They want to make it too inconvenient for you to go all the way back to the beginning and just carry on to the submit button.

My new computer says that it is a spam site and to enter at my own risk. A pretty good early warning system if you ask me! Great review and nice segway into Wealthy Affiliate.

Not sure about giving the folks out there a chance to click on the link, but you are very honest about it and the warnings are there for folks NOT to do it.

Daniel, thanks so much for this review. Having just gone through problems with my computer I have learned to stay far away from sites that even have a wiff of uncertainty. I can’t afford more computer problems and it looks like people who have tried this Commission Breakthrough have inherited some. Besides, I hate it when you join a program and have to keep purchasing the upsells to get all the benefits. never know when the cost will end. thanks for saving me the trouble.

Sorry for not getting back to you. I’ve had some issues of my own and it has taken me away from my work for a time. I’m back at it full speed ahead.

Yes, we are often deluded with these kind of deals. The problem with online publishing is that you can be living in a shack and all you need is a computer and an Internet connection. You can make things look real.

The other problem is that these things give the legitimate programs a bad name. The entire online business training arena has such a large ghetto that the good within it is hard to find, and when it is found, is unrecognized by many.
