Calculated Risk VS Stupidity

Calculated Risk VS Stupidity

Risk comes in two flavours: the Calculated Risk, that which comes with strategies and goal-setting, and Stupidity – that which endangers one’s live or that of others.

Now to the person above in the video, that scares the spit out of me to even watch it! This person may know what he’s doing, but for me, preservation of life and limb outweighs the prospect of gaining a bunch of turned heads and a moment of cheering, even the large sum of money that may come with wearing a GoPro camera to record such a spectacle.

That’s just not for me! Sorry thrill-seekers, stunts like this simply are not worth it.

Risk in the Business World

To me, throwing all of your gung-ho into something in the business world without calculating the risks involved is sheer stupidity as well. Too many people undertake things that they know little about and expect a return. Pinning the tail on the donkey is more like it.
